While it works and was recently updated to support SHA-2 certs you really should work on getting updated. I'd look into getting a NetScaler Gateway (~$1k) and/or a VPX Express (or VPX 10) depending on the number of users to replace the CSG. We use dedicated XenApp desktops on Server 2008 R2 machines, with the wonderful Citrix Secure Gateway and WebInterface. I'd also look into your User Profile Management (UPM) if you're using that as there's been several versions since 6.5 was released (5.4.1 is the latest). These have a ton of fixes for all sorts of items. The HotFix Rollup Packs (they're up to 7 now) are the patches you should be most concerned with for your 6.5 environment. Citrix is definitely going to recommend you go to 7.6 (at least) and I wager they actually said go to 7.6.3 LTSR (Long Term Service Release).
It looks like feature park 1, 2, and 3 are all out for XenApp 6.5, but Citrix is recommending moving to XenApp 7.6.
